Rosemary Oil

This woody perennial herb with fragrant evergreen needle-like leaves, belong to the mint family Lamiaceae, and is indigenous to the Mediterranean region, cultivated commercially in Spain, Italy, Portugal and Greece. The essential Oil is extracted from the flowering tops, Stems and Leaves, by Steam Distillation. The main Components of Rosemary Oil includes a-Pinene, Camphor, Camphene and Linalool. Rosemary Oil is said to be analgesic, antiseptic, antioxidant, astringent, carminative and stimulant. Thus Rosemary Oil is believed to be useful for improving brain function, stimulating hair growth, relieving pain, easing stress and increasing blood circulation. Apart from Perfumery, it can be employed as a Palm Inhalant for Nasal Clarity, and can be used in Cough Blends, and also in Room Fresheners.
